In short: we turn your final, edited manuscript into a reflowable ebook file (EPUB) that you can upload to Kindle, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play Books and other stores. Text resizes to fit any screen, the contents page is linked, and the file is checked before delivery.
Who is ebook formatting for?
Authors who have finished editing and want a clean, professional ebook without learning formatting software. If you already have an ebook file that's being rejected or displays badly, see EPUB & Kindle file fixes instead.
What's included
- Reflowable EPUB built from your Word or Google Docs manuscript
- Consistent styles for chapters, headings, scene breaks, block quotes and lists
- Linked table of contents and working navigation
- Front and back matter you supply (title page, copyright, dedication, author bio, also-by list)
- Images placed and sized for e-readers, with alt text if you provide it
- Validation with EPUBCheck and preview checks before delivery
What you'll need to provide
- The final, edited and proofread manuscript (formatting is not editing)
- Front and back matter text, and your ISBN if you're using one
- Your ebook cover image if you'd like it embedded
- Any images, with permission to use them
How long it takes
Your written quote gives a confirmed delivery date. The time needed depends on the length of the book, the number of images, tables or special elements, and how many corrections there are, and on how quickly feedback comes back between rounds.
Revisions and what's not included
Your quote states the number of correction rounds. Not included unless quoted separately: editing or rewriting, fixed-layout ebooks (children's picture books, cookbooks with complex layouts), print interiors (see paperback & hardcover formatting) and uploading to stores (see publishing setup).
Price
Where packages are shown on this page, they are our standard prices. Prices depend on length, the number of images, tables or special elements, and whether you need a fixed-layout ebook. For a standard package you can request an invoice: we confirm the scope first, then email the invoice, and nothing is charged online. For anything else, request a free quote that lists exactly what's included before you commit.
