Our approach
The cover shows three children and a dog sitting together on a wooden dock, seen from behind as they look out over a lake at sunset, framed by leaves and daisies. The title is set in a flowing brown script across the sky, with the author name and “an Archie story” in serif type below.
The interior uses a gentler, warmer palette than the cover: each page has a framed illustration of a family moment (looking through a photo album, a bedtime cuddle) above a short, centred verse set in a soft rust colour.
We wrote the rhyming story text, created every illustration and laid out the pages, so the words and pictures were planned together, spread by spread.
