Our approach
The cover is a lively outdoor market under strings of lanterns and bunting, with children browsing stalls, a small dog and a chalkboard sign carrying the author name. The title is set in purple and pink display type with the subtitle “A Story About Little Choices Today & Big Futures Tomorrow”.
The interior follows the same format as the rest of the series: a framed illustration at the top of each page (the market, and two girls looking at a book called “The Story of Money”) with a short, centred verse in purple underneath.
We wrote the rhyming story text, created every illustration and laid out the pages, so the words and pictures were planned together, spread by spread.
