Our approach

A giant, weathered head with one glowing eye looms out of a misty blue background. Its crown has broken away like rock, revealing a ledge where small figures clash beside flames as birds circle overhead. At the foot of the cover, a line of runners is silhouetted against an orange glow.

The cool, muted palette makes the warm fire and the glowing eye stand out. The title is stacked in mixed sizes, with “Blackened” largest, followed by the author name and the series line, “Book One: The Woeful Wager”, at the bottom.
