Our approach
Story pages. Each spread pairs a full-page illustration with a text page. The story is set in a friendly, rounded sans serif in dark navy, centred and broken into short lines for reading aloud, with key words picked out in capitals (“BIG”, “ENORMOUS”, “TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS?!”). Smaller moments, like Donovan's savings notebook (“Monday: $5, Tuesday: $7…”), are set as their own short lists.
Dream Talk. At the foot of every text page, a “Dream Talk” box in red sums up the moment and asks the reader a question (“Q: What would YOU want to learn to do? What would you save for?”), so parents and teachers can stop and talk about money, goals and choices. Page numbers sit in small navy circles.
Cover and front matter. The cover sets the title, “SAVE UP, FLY HIGH!”, in chunky white capitals with a purple outline over the sky illustration, with the subtitle, author and illustrator credits below. The back cover carries the book description, a list of conversation topics, an age range, author and illustrator biographies and prices. The front matter includes a title page and a copyright and dedication spread with a small piggy-bank drawing.
KDP print. The two videos show the finished book: a walkthrough of the page layouts spread by spread, and the full cover wrap and every interior spread checked in the KDP Print Previewer.
